Publisher review:HiperLAN/2 reference model - 16-QAM modulation and demodulation with channel coding HiperLAN/2 is a European (ETSI) standard for high-rate wireless LANs, based on OFDM, operating in the 5GHz band and offering raw data rates up to 54Mbit/s. At the PHY layer it is very similar to IEEE 802.11a.
This is a reference model showing TX side coding and modulation for the 16QAM, 3/4 code rate mode, with a corresponding ideal receiver chain and AWGN channel. The model is a good example of the use of frame-based processing in Simulink simulations as the OFDM symbols provide a natural frame size for the model.Reference: ETSI TS 101 475 V1.2.2 (2001-02) Broadband Radio Access Networks (BRAN): HIPERLAN Type 2: Physical (PHY) Layer
